FWIW, my dad got it as a rental in Huntsville in '86. He took it up to 55, and it started shaking violently. Then, it calmed down until 64 came and went, and we both got scared.

Is your dad a big guy like yourself? I imagine if the Yugo gave you trouble you could just pick it up, roll it backwards till it finished winding up and then get it and let it go!
