thanks guys - that freaking car had NO LIGHTS!! I couldn't see until my lights hit that car.
the most annoying part is that I clipped the car. if I had a millisecond more I could have avoided the entire car altogether! but considering I came out with just that damage instead of a head on. I'm damn lucky.
those autocross and track times helped. pure instinct took over.

Glad to hear you're okay...
well, lets say that your no worse than before the accident...

I saw a similiar thing in LA. We (CHrista & I) were in the Bronco, headed west on the 210 way East of LA near the 15. It was about 3AM and this truck about 1/4 mile in front of us just starts flipping and rolling and ends up sideways right in the middle of 4 or 5 lanes with no lights on. We threw a Luey and hit our hazards on the side of the road. Before we could even get the flares or flashlights out to warn people, we saw at least 2 other cars almost T-bone this truck. Nobody hit it while we were there, but there were a lot of close calls. There were tools all over the road (from the bed of the truck) and the driver fled across the median as soon as the truck came to rest.
