Wow, Robb sorry to hear that it is still dragging on. That's what sux is that you get so excited that when it takes longer than it should, you just get ing pissed! I remember when Wicked was snowed in in Boston and she just sat there for like a week. I was so frantic!!

And remember my hellacious experience with the stupid California DMV after she got here ... but I will tell you that it is worth every moment of pain. Don't give up, you should just do what you can (if anything) to get your vacation back (can you go back to work for a day?) and if the car shows up, just let it sit there until you can get to it on your next day off. Or call in sick ... you are probably just feeling worse sitting around feeling like .

Unfortunately, Honda doesn't go out of its way any more for us S owners than they would for a Civic buyer - and customer service is not their forte. Reliable, affordable cars are.

Yeah....maybe you should speak to the Sales Manager. Impress upon him the fact that they have needlessly squandered your vacation time. Made promises they couldn't deliver on. Created unreasonable expectations on your part. Perhaps you could parlay that into a $$ savings on your new 'S'? Say, start negotiations by deducting the amount of lost wages/earnings while you've been waiting for them to unclutch their coc*s. See what happens....?

I did that yesterday. I called the sales manager last night and complained and he said it should be in later that night or tomorrow and that they would let me know when it is. I have already taken tons of time off and spent tons of time finding my S and dealing with Honda has just been a nightmare. It's like pulling teeth to get them to take my business.
The dealership were the Porsche I wanted to buy is the exact opposite of the Honda dealers, at this point I would rather deal with them I'm tired of being treated like s**t. It's too bad because I love the S but I have to figure if they are giving me the run around when I'm trying to buy the car imagine what it will be like if I need warranty work.IMO there is no sense in buying a new car if you know the company won't back you with their product. I may as well get a used one sometime in the future at a cheaper price.

The sales department's behavior doesn't necessarily reflect that of the service department ... but I'm sure Porsche will treat you much better. I had a great experience with the dealer I dealt with in Boston, they have bent over backwards to help me out - even after I was completely done with them and needed to get them to reissue the Certificate of Origin after the ing DMV lost it.

Just remember - if you DO end up getting Red soon ... you may get one of those Honda surveys ... be sure to mark it accurately to show how badly you were treated. They get really worked up about those surveys.

How dare they **** with a Corner whore! They don't know who they're dealing with.

There is nothing more inexcusable than making commitments you can't keep. As you said, it would've been tough if they'd simply told you you had to wait a while before you made your vacation plans, but it would've been honest. Now that they've stolen your vacation time and ruined the whole buying experience.

Robb, I will say this... many of the folks around here are pretty down (that's an understatement) on their dealers, and especially AHM. Expectations on that front are pretty low, and that shouldn't be news to you. What you have to ask yourself right now is whether you're pissed off enough to bail on the whole thing. It sounds like you are, and I don't blame you at all.

Good luck on whatever you do, Robb. If there's anything we can do, you know we're behind you!

Thanks guys. I figured I'd give them a chance but they didn't even contact me today at all. I'm not spending my last vacation day sitting around waiting for them to call. It's too bad that Honda makes such a good product but can't back it up with service.
