Outstanding, James. Really. First time we've had a really great family vacation.

A perfect weather week, and we got to do so much in the mountains. It was awesome!

How've things been out your way? Visiting the cabin much?

Sounds good

We haven't been up there for a few weeks now, been busy with other stuff

The FP is off to the UK next week for 5 weeks, so doubt that I will be up there in that time either .....

Well, I hope you're not killin' yourself at work. It was really nice to be away from everything in the mountains... I barely thought of home / work at all.

So, is the FP looking for work back home, or does she just really enjoy long visits with her friends / family?

She is heading back for a friend's wedding on 19 July, and my sister is getting married on 2nd August, so didn't really seem any point in her coming back and then going back again ...... (and it's cheaper for her to stay ) ...... I can't get the time off for the first wedding so will be heading back the day before my sister's .....

Cool, James. Yup, those early 30's... Everyone seems to vanish into marriagedom... Do you know / like your sister's fiance? How long will you head home for?

My sister is actually late 30's ...... she just took a while to find that right guy (long story, but it is actually her boyfriend from about 15 years ago !) .... I know him, yes, he is a nice guy .... we get on very well

I will be back for about 2 weeks ..... but have to go in to our office in London for a couple of those days ....

Well, that's great about your sis, James. Hope you have a terrific time. Your "holiday" coincides with my next family excursion. This time we're headed to Cape Cod for some summer beach fun. The Cape is a great vacation spot for us New Englanders...
