At first they are non-profit organizations when a tread is created, but the new thread signals google to index the thread. And they usually come read it within 30 minutes. After they (the computer) reads the thread it trys to place ads that fit the thread.

For example there is a thread in OT about digital cameras, and if you look at the Google banner has cameras for sale

So start a thread and see what shit google will sell you

Thread title seems to matter most, along with the body. Google is smart enuf that you can't repeat the same words over and over and get a higher result.
