You guys are terrific! I was mulling this over this afternoon, and I'm going to call Tire Rack in the morning. I think I'll change to the 245/40 at the rear. Thanks for your advice!!

Hey, Brant, CONGRATS!!! Guinness is, what, dark brown??

Here's an e- for ya'!

Initial report...this car's a rollerskate with a rollbar!! I I couldn't stop grinning the whole drive to Tacoma!!

Ok...enough about my car.

Chaz... on the tire size decision. I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is, of course, coming from someone who's car is currently on puny 205/45-16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's...

Brant, post a pic! Don't feel bad, BTW... My Miata had significantly less rubber on the road than your 205s. At least my 15" wheels were cheap to buy tires for! Now, of course, I'm getting raped!!!

Guys, again, thanks on the fitment advice. I've changed my order to 245s in the rear. FYI, they're 29 bucks more per tire (), but I'm convinced they'll be worth it. Besides, if they're good enough for chainsaw...

Can't wait to see 'em!

George, are those Prodrives?? They look riveted, which the GC-06D wheels are not. Nice, though... The gunmetal color has really grown on me over time... As I recall, I prefered polished aluminum for a long time (like stock), but gunmetal has that serious, understated look. I know TJ is loving this!

Rock on! Best wishes.

Oh, yeah, and it's like 3degF this morning! What am I doing???

Excellent choice on the rubber Charlie!

gunmetal: pretty in the "I'm all business" way

Good move Charlie! I didn't like at first gunmetal either. It has grown on me too...the only ones I don't really like are black wheels and the heavy bling-blings.

Come on Blunt....post a pic.

I'm not a huge fan of BRIGHT chrome finish on some wheels....sometimes it looks alright, but those wire wheels with the big spike in the center? It looks like something that should be spinning from the ceiling of the disco in Saturday Night Fever!

I finally saw my first set of 24" rims on a Navigator this morning....goofy bastids....
