actually alex, I'd like to get your opinion..... should I have the valve cover and intake manifold polished, or just the intake manifold and leave the valve cover..... I'm thinking all polished with colored vacuum tubing, I'm not decided on the color yet, though yellow really pops out

actually, i like the type-r red valve covers

though i've seen some polished pieces and they were very nice, as were the yellow (a la spoon/jun) pieces.

either way, it's gonna look good in my opinion. but i myself would stay red. it also adds to the "i didn't know you had any engine work done" factor.

polished intake manifold = , but mind if i ask how much? it's really just an image thing so if it's too pricey, i might say

as for the vacuum hoses, i like it simple. nothing too flashy. although yellow isn't bad, i've seen it before

again, only my OPINION!

BTW, polished =
chromed =

but enough banter (it's late and im too excited to type ), what i would do:

perhaps a yellow valve cover, with carbon-fiber wire cover, and carbon-fiber cold air intake (the mugen/spoon kind). i'd leave the vacuum hoses as stock-looking as possible. i wouldn't polish anything that's stock. if it came polished when you bought it, ok, but nothing OE stock.

i like it to be very subtle when yuo pop the hood. for example, in the van, we spent $$$ to get the "TWIN-TURBO" valve covers shaved to bare aluminum. enhances the sleeper effect.
