Not a Whip
Hey @sam_spider
cleaning out in the garage and came across a Car Cover Brand New in the bag, I'm thinking it was for the Cayman
seems most jelly beans aka P Cars like that are similar in size
would you like it?

@vtecmom apologies for the late reply, I was away last week

Ok I wasn't sure but thought maybe it would fit
Your very welcome!
@sam_spider wanted to let you know we've decided not to continue with the Evoque
as you know we just did the first road trip in it
and well there's one issue thats really annoying
so theres a very notable ( IF your sitting there ) HUMP on the floor of the passenger front side floor, its just below where the seat ends so you either need to place your feet ON TOP of it or out far enough ahead of it
I did no ride or sit in the passenger seat side when we test drove it
so did not notice this issue
There are a few other issues as I mentioned previously to you that the Auto Engine stop at lights is NOT able to be turned off and well yeah that too is fairly annoying
just having to remember to push it each time.
Sounds silly maybe to change a vehicle for minor reasons I guess but I truly feel you should really love driving a vehicle and I've never owned one that had issues that made it un enjoyable
Not sure if we'll stay SUV or maybe find a comfy sedan type vehicle
and don't get me wrong I LOVE the look of the Evoque its IMO much better looking than most the SUV's out there
I wondered if your larger Range Rovers have that HUMP issue
I'm sure we'll figure this out but just an FYI to ya since I know you own or have owned a few RR 's
We keep hearing this
when we tell someone about the HUMP

I've not sat in an Evoque but I know what you're referring to, the Stelvio we test drove had a similar issue, not a hump but I get it. I have had a Discovery sport for a loaner along with a couple of the Jaguar SUV's, but only ever sat on the drivers side. My Discovery doesn't have a hump, but it's a larger vehicle, probably (maybe) too big for what you guys are after. One other to take a look at would be the Macan, I had a loaner of those before and quite liked it, might be a touch bigger than your Evoque but not by much.
I'd say Defender, but that's a big vehicle and mucho $$ so might not be the best idea. Not sure how you feel about BMW's but they've got a couple nice smaller sized ones, X1 & X2, my nephews wife has an X2 and it's nice, more of a hatchback than a full blown SUV.

Nice info Spider and I'll take it all into consideration

Since we paid ca$h for the Evoque and then used some Cayman $ to do the front landscape I'll say a few of those are out of reach
but yeah lots of thinking and lookin in the last few days and more to come
Well sadly the TLX's is now out as we went to look and feel and it surprisingly sat too low for C-6's approval
and oddly the leg room in the back seat was kinda tight although I realize you said your sweeties has enough room but maybe it was just the seat position
I may not even want to reveal what we get as you guys may diss own me

The reason for the switch from the Cayman S as you recall was for C-6 to be able to get in & out easily
( sucks having issues with your age )I also don't feel the need for a high end SUV or Sedan even ( like BMW, Acura, Lexus etc... ) I love all those vehicles but this will end up being which vehicle fits in price , milage, & most of all comfort.

Looked at a very nice Accord today & well having owned MANY H vehicles I know it wouldn't be a bad one

I also like the Pathfinder
and a few other I'll call Vanilla Fudge SUV's like the Tahoe , Expedition and new VW's well thanks for your input LG
Before my Mom passed, she was leasing a 2022/23 Buick Encore GX. It was a really great car, I don’t recall any ‘humps’ on the passenger side and it got almost 35MPG. She leased it for right around $230 months for 36 months with 32.5k total miles over 3 years.
With the rear seats folded down, we could load 20 bags of mulch in it, never had a warranty issue with it except for a defective TPS sensor in the right rear tire. Go checkie it out.

funny story 4 ya dave .... we owned a beater Buick wayyyyyyyy back it was the ugliest thing but was cheap
we kinda have an on going joke of " we could get a Buick
"
so along w / the Buick as in will never buy is Cadilac
we may be old but not going there

also we've only leased a vehicle once and I feel its a mistake as its like renting vs purchasing your place your just throwing that $ away
NO disrespect to your Mom RIP
we had a salesman try to push a lease on us yesterday & I immediately said NOPE no Lease
I do like your seeing that GM type cars vs JDM are fine if its what you like

Were retired & not rich so what ever it ends up being it will like I said just be fairly new not a ton of miles and get an extended warranty
I have owned a LOT of vehicles over my long life
1st was a 72 Beetle
2 was an MGB
3 was another Beetle ( due to the MGB catching fire
)
4 Camaro
after that so many I can't recall the order specifically
Honda Accord Hatch Back ( which was totaled by an idiot rear ending me while driving it home from the dealer
) replaced with a second Honda Accord Hatchback
Buick ( which was a computer for C-6 )
Nova
Altima
Aerostar Van
Sable Wagon
Expedition
Lexus GS
Honda s2k
TR6
2 Speedster Replica's
2 Mini Coopers
2 Cayman S 's
A RR Evoque
