It really is tough when pets get old. You gotta' cut 'em some slack, even when they become your pet peevs..

On a brief serious note:

I don't know what I'll do when our current pets go. I cried when each of my 5 ferrets died, and I'm even more attached to our 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Okay, serious note over now...
