It's really not so bad, depending on where you're at.... the flipside is you can be treated quite well also.... that's always nice.....

My only experiences of Americans in the home environment have been Hawaii and Miami ..... in Hawaii the waiters/waitresses I found to be very fake indeed and didn't think much of them .... having said that, the people that we met there, i.e. on holiday not working, where very friendly and helpful . In Miami on the other hand the waiting staff seemed pretty nice and we had a few decent conversations with them, they actually seemed to be interested in telling you about Miami and stuff ......

Though I guess you are going to get these differences wherever you go ...

 

Roku, thanks for getting the hotel information.

Luxor sounds like a pretty decent deal, and I think we can probably negotiate a group rate even without 20 rooms if we need.

I do, however, feel the need to reiterate my thoughts on the MGM Grand...I will sooner sleep under a park bench or sitting in a public restroom than stay in that hotel...

 

I suggest that we knock the MGM off the list if Barney feels that strongly about it ......
