Getting good shots at car shows is borderline impossible. Between people who will stand right in front of you while you're trying to frame a picture, horrible indoor spot lighting, more idiots walking behind the car, and a lack of good angles... meh. I took hundreds of pictures with my P&S camera at Detroit every year I went, and maybe 1 in 100 was worth my time to click the button.
true..

crowd definitely gets in the way..and taking a dslr is sometimes difficult as well.. lighting is definitely crappy too... i'd like to go one day on a weekday maybe when it's less crowded.

side note.. LF-A photos from back in 2005 (detroit auto show)

That bag looks neat as far as functionality. I'm trying to figure out a way to carry the little kit I have without disturbing the way I currently carry the camera itself (over left shoulder, under right arm with a blackrapid fastenr-2)
It's really sad... bag hunting is absolutely ridiculous.. I'm on bag #3 right now.. My original Burton didn't fit my camera w/batter grip.. so I bought a Tamrac bag.. which then didn't work out because I bought the 70-200 lens... so now I'm on bag #3... Lowepro.. which so far has been really good..(except that it lacks pockets). For small day trips, I am still searching for a bag....

Thinktankphoto has really really nice stuff... I think the streetwalker hd is going to be my next bag (once i get my computer situation sorted out)..

Camera equipment never ends..

<----planning on going to the park this weekend and doing nature shots since I have 0 plans

Woah. Yeah. Had to have been before 2003 because that's when we left the apartment.
