I think it's a great lens that every photographer should have... I wouldn't buy it at Costco though... places like B&H are even cheaper than that..I have that lens and although I've swapped out most of the glass (and body) that I started out with, this one is still in my bag and I'll always have it.

The one thing Costco has going for it is the no questions asked refund policy. I've never had to take anything back to B & H so I don't know what their policy is.
