My wife and I have been going through some favourite pictures we have and making copies of the ones we want to put in frames in our family room.

This one is of our two cats - Rocky is the tabby and Butterscotch the grey siamese. Butterscotch passed away shortly after the picture was taken, Rocky is still with us and she was a kitten at the time I was in the kitchen cooking and they were behind me anxiously waiting for the food I was cooking, the look on their faces is priceless IMO, they were so cute.

I have the BCWildfire app and it lists the suspected cause of fires. Usually it’s lightning or human caused - there are so many people who do backcountry stuff and don’t make sure their fire is out. Infuriating on so many levels.

Good thing you don't live in California, they say 100 firefighters a year are charged with arson, how crazy is that ?

So we were gonna head up the Ortega HWY out of Lake Elsinore where the Airport fire had come to from Trabuco Canyon in OC, there was an accident so we had to turn around but decided to head south & cut over to Oceanside then up the 5 and come back on the Ortega HWY, SO sad to see the devastation in those hills as we've driven thru there many times when we lived in Lake Elsinore 12 years ago. The Ortega goes from Lake Elsinore over the Cleveland National Forest into Dana Point ( San Juan Capistrano ) area.

Many properties gone , saw an area they had put all the Burnt Vehicles due to the evacuations. This fire was the one we saw from our home here in Menifee, and it started north in Trabuco Canyon ACCIDENTALY from some county vehicles

makes you feel for the people who lost everything seeing it first hand and I could still smell the smoke from all the ash on the ground!

Amazing they saved this property ^^^^^^

LUCKILY they saved the Lookout Cafe which has been there for years, very lil spot that many motorcycles & car 's stop at to enjoy the VIEW! Fire had gotten right up to it too across the HWY https://lookoutroadhouse.com

Lake Elsinore

OMG that is terrible. Last summer I spoke with someone who came out of retirement to help fight the wildfires and wow it’s ugly out there. I can’t imagine one of their own making it worse.

That is so beautiful! This reminds me a bit of when I used to live in Monterrey Mexico a long time ago. Just bigger mountains in Monterrey.
