I was on the freeway today going about 60...

A shiny black CLK 55 AMG (Alex, is this a real AMG or did the driver do a sticker mod? I don't know much about Benz models) pulled next to me and proceed to ignore me. So I put her in neutral and reved to red line. The Benz driver looks over, looks bored and starts to speed up. I popped her into 3rd (at 60mph) and floored the gas pedal....
He still pulls away SLOWLY. I don't think he knows he was racing me...

I keep thinking to myself, wait until we hit a traffic jam sucker!! You see, I have two passengers and the freeway has a carpool lane...















BTW, I was driving my 96Civic...

Yes, JE I have my S for a month now...

Wicky, it might have been a closer race but I DID have 2 passengers with me and he had none.

 

It is amazing how much a passenger can slow the car. I *always* notice it.

 

two passengers is almost 400 extra lbs..... that's the difference between the s2000's weight and the C5 corvette

I think my Civic weighs more like 2400lbs (not sure)

My mom and my sister weighs together about 170 (small Asian females) so weight wasn't the main factor..

but I think my real handicap was the 1.6L naturally aspirated engine. Furthermore, the only sticker on my car was my parking permit - this only adds 0.5 hp.
With a couple of Spoon, Mugen, Comptech stickers...who knows....

 

If I had installed wings on my trunk, that Benz Sucka would be own3d by now!
