I remember when I went to Indonesia that they would pile an entire family (6-7 people) on one single moped.

On holiday in the Philippines we managed 12 people on/in a motorbike with side car

When we woke up (sober) the next morning we had a discussion about how you see these headlines like "12 tourists killed on single motorbike" and you always wonder what the hell they were doing for that to happen..... well we finally found out !!!

Unfortunately there was no one in a state to take photos!!!

How long are you going to be in the States ?? When are you going? Will you have your laptop by then so you can stay in touch

I have my NZ flights reserved, not sure how much they are going to cost though!!!

I'm in the States for 3 weeks. I hope to have my laptop by then, if not I can sign and approve company purchases anyway.

Because you've reserved them early it shouldn't be too bad, however it's probably classed as peak season then too. Even though most people I know go for the snow season.

I actually decided to fly with AirNZ this time. Who are you with?

I am with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong.

for the dates that I wanted, based on last year's priced AirNZ would be 2.5 times more expensive than Cathay and I am a "frequent flyer" with Cathay which gives me added benefits to fly with them......

Hope you have a great trip to the States

Thanks James I'm sure i will.

I'm sure you'll enjoy NZ, everyone I know that has gone are looking to go back again. From what I've seen they have some great golf courses too. I'm sure you've heard all this already but from what I've been told by a few of our NZ employee's the North island is tropical and relaxing and the South is for active, outdoor adventure and sightseeing. You'll have to try the jet boats while your there.

I am just going through brochures at the moment trying to decide what places to visit..... it is a nightmare trying to plan a trip.

This is likely to be the only time we ever go to NZ, so I am saying "damn the cost" we will do everything we want to this time as we probably will never get another chance!!

Just plan as I do, book the ticket over and then make the rest up as you go along.

Does that include Bunjee jumping and slingshot?

I have already done a bungee jump and vowed NEVER to do it again!!!!!!!!

I am a little worried that we need to plan things a bit so as not to waste the chance we have..... when we are just going for a beach holiday or something, we never make any plans, but this is to be a sightseeing trip so I need to plan some sights to see
