Keith (SliverSurfer) has been struggling with this for some time. I talked to him in July but haven't heard any update. I'll have to search.

He got the car fixed... But would like to know a cause. Just want to make sure it's not something directly related w/ the supercharger.

Yeah, isn't that an amazing thread? Really hurts to look at those pix. Isn't it amazing how the rings just fused into the surface of the piston heads? Like Peter said --

Carlo, I hope SilverSurfer eventually gets all the answers; that's why I pointed you to it. He had significant mods in his car, and pretty high mileage. Unfortunately, he may never find out. More likely than not, it's a combination of various things that caused the situation. Oil breakdown may not have had anything to do with it, by the way (I saw your post)...

In all honesty, even though I'm not real keen on mods, I'd be very hesitant to use a blower. Bottom line is that no one's too sure about the longevity issue, and I hope to keep my car for many years.

Same goes here.

I modified a few older cars in my younger days and had nothing but trouble, used to spend all weekend repairing things not to mention the amount of $ spent on the things.

For the time being I'll stay away until I have settled down and have the time to build my 32' Ford 5 window coupe.

I've got a huge list of classic and modern cars that I would love to own one day. :dreaming:

Only problem is it keeps growing.
