I'm assuming there's an intermediate cover between the wood and the tub to keep the heat/water in the tub.

If not, that wood is going to get wrecked, and fast.

Yeah BB I'm certain that it needs some type of underside which not only keeps the heat in but protects the wood, although I bet Trex would hold up best Nick & C-6 had built me some killer width of the tub steps with Trex and that $hit is $pensive but think its worth it if you don't want the up keep / maintenance of traditional lumber

PS we let the Junk Haulers take those massive steps away not worth trying to move OR store as they weighed a TON and I knew the plan was more of a deck instead of just steps

Looks good Gina. Good job mate.

I just stained my rear deck , and I had a casual look at Trex just for fun, I almost keeled over when I seen the price. It is worse in Canada I am sure, it must cost a small fortune to build an entire deck from that stuff. I think they want $65 for one piece of deck board - 12 feet long, or some crazy number like that. wow.

Thanks Joe but I didn't actually DO the work but my middle & C-6 did and they did a great job, kinda by the seat of their butts with no plan

I highly doubt we will do Trex or something similar ( I keep seeing adds for a new composite type ) but will make sure its done with good quality wood

Where’s the 7-11-style hot dog roller going to go?
