Red face Pretty Slick!

so having a new yard to design I / we have been getting ideas etc... on what , where. how & why....

I saw this vid

and really like this and I'll say it falls into the why category.... having a typical cover that lifts from the metal bars attached to the sides isn't bad but I think were gonna do some decking around the Tub in this yard much nicer than just step into it. Also an opportunity to just step in FROM some of the decking which is a lot more comfy and easy.
I do know you need to have the open for work on any of the mechanics of the tub side accessible but thats easily done with a removable door / panel.

dunno if we'll be able to do this but may look into the how on it

Would it be a problem getting to the filters and mechanicals as they will be under the deck?

The Filter is inside the tub and I just slide off the plastic grid and reach in to unscrew it & pull it up & out to clean.
As for the mechanicals I mentioned that yes you need to have that side accessible which is done by a removable panel.
You never wanna bury a tub completely in a deck surround as yeah that would be a problem
I have several 's of tubs with decking around it and not necessarily un openable, just getting the right design is the key

THEY ^^^^ probably have access on that one side minus decking

You wanna come build it for me

It would be good up here, a lot of covers end up collapsing from the weight of the snow.

I would say that design is less efficient than a typical hot tub cover which has more insulating properties, unless you can get a cover under the decking.

Yeah I think its more about the ascetics then function but if we were to be able to have such a deck constructed I would see about attaching the padded cover minus the metal bar up under the folding deck parts. Good Point Joe

well Mickey if you had made it to one of the 1st MomBBQ's in Blowmont you would have seen & partaken in the dirt track that C-6 built in the yard, the ie @WestSideBilly , @RT etc had much fun tearing it up with the RC Trucks but the Pig Pen DIRT issue got old for those on the patio so we later took it out

Slot cars are fun as we've had a few fairly nice ones in the past but that one is pretty Slick

I have been going to Models for sale and getting ideas for the yard as I like some of the minimal but very nice looking things they do.
