Race Tracks???
Well, the west side (and east side) are old gang signs, to be honest. I hung out with a fair number of the chicago crew, but I don't think the west side symbols were related to me specifically (though they definitely got thrown around when I showed up
). But that was 2001-2006 give or take.

There were a couple crazy racing guys who called themselves "Team Toilet" who were from the Kalamazoo Michigan area who attended our event every year. Some of the guys from King Motorsports attended, CanuckR from this forum was there too. I swear I seen the guy from Savagegeese at one event before he was famous, lol.
Zandvoort (Sunday's F1 race): Raptor story from Auto Racing Forum:

Been to Zandvoort (the track, not the race). Zandvoort is close to Scheveningen Pleasure Pier and Delft, home of famous Delft Blue Pottery Dutch china. That day at nearby Alkmaar, home of the famous cheese market, we had our VW camper backed into and absolutely crushed by a municipal garbage truck -- the day before we put it on a ship to be transported to LA. (whereupon it was lost at sea for six months -- a story for another day). Within 10 minutes the mayor of the town was there and promised reimbursement. Danmed if they didn't pay up months later!

The Gouda cheese at the Alkmaar cheese market was great. Heinrich showed up at the Port of LA six months late with a bashed in front end and a smog system completely destroyed by the salt air. We fixed it and Anne Marie drove it as her DD for a long time. I drove the Magis Bus, a yellow Ford Econoline van that I fixed up as a camper, as my DD for a long time. The next year we drove the Magic Bus camping to Cabo San Lucas just after Highway 1 was completed, then drove Heinrich camping past Mexico City almost to the Guatamala border. We wouldn't do that now with the drug cartels, but it was perfectly safe then. Good times!
