I would love to hang with you and learn the proper oversteering and countersteering techniques, Martin!!! Seriously. I'm still a little, shall we say, protective of my baby tho'. I know that's heresy to racing gods like yourself

Step 1 - find a VERY tight righthander with plenty of run-off. Step 2 - slightly cold tires, generous application of throttle in SECOND gear - try for 3k rpm at throttle tip-in. Step 3 - countersteer as car rotates, trying to keep the exact line you wish. Do not lift, but keep maintenance throttle after rotation achieved. Step 4 - practice until you can unwind your countersteer and have no over-correction.

I was actually VERY lucky.
The accident cost me a total of about US$2,500. But I ended up with a one year newer car with Sat/Nav and BBS alloys (options that would have added more than US$4,000 to the price of the car when new).
All sorted out by the guy who I bought the car through in the first place. He came and collected the car from the roadside on a flatbed, that was the last I saw of the car, he dealt with the insurance company and everything, 4 weeks later he delivered the new car....

The Nav system is buillt into the dash, above the stereo....
I did have a picture somewhere but can't find it at the moment....
The guy that I bought the car through is a private car trader, he has built his business on reputation so goes out of his way to help people, in the knowledge that he will get further trade from them and their friends, so it works for both sides
