I am still keeping my fingers crossed that we can all get there .....
Believe me.....I'm going to try my hardest to go. I just need to wait until the last minute before committing....which is usually how I work anyway.

Seriously...the thought of quitting 420 permanently doesn't even phase me.....it's always been second to my responsibilities.

Luke, what are your motivations for wanting to be a cop?

Well...as you know cause we have talked about it....I've been very depressed lately. A lot of that has been because of my job. I just don't want to work with computers anymore....it took me a year to figure that out. I need something with more adreneline....let's face it...I'm an adrenaline junkie. It was either this or infantry in the ARMY. I don't like the 4 year committment to the military so police is the next logical move. I'm thinking of persuing SWAT in the long run. My love for guns is also a factor in this...

I used to want to be a cop when I was younger, but discarded it because I thought you ALWAYS had to enforce every bullshit law. That's not true...you can use those bullshit laws to catch real criminals and let the good people go.

I'm going to try to steer clear of traffic and go more for responding to calls.

No worries Iuke, great to hear that you are finding something that is taking your interest and you are able to take steps to move on to it

In the UK, it is only in the last year that you have been allowed to join the police if you have ANY tattoos ..... I assume there is no such restriction in the US .... ??
You can't have 5 tickets within the last 3 years. Worse offences have longer clean record requirments. After this year I actually won't have any within the last 3 years, but the less the better.

Tattoos are OK as long as a short sleeve shirt and pants cover them.

Thanks James...it feels so good to be motivated again...

I'm actually taking a break from creating my new resume right now.
