Luke, wow this is big news...your whole life will change in a way. I think this change will definitely look good on you. You are a very active person and sitting behind a computer all day for the rest of your life, even as skilled as you are, won't give you the fulfillment you crave.
I know you have the proper "morals" (sorry for using the word again) to do this job; probably better than the majority of officers already out there. You have a somewhat unique view of life, but I think you will be able to use this to in fact deter re-offenders; and these are the best kinds of officers.
