Default Raptor and the Air Show

Raptor - guess there was no air show Sunday? I heard one of the jets crashed on Saturday, killing both pilots.

We were on our way to breakfast Sunday and I saw an Air Force jet fly over our S2000. I said to my hubby, "Must be from the air show."

Got to the restaurant, opened up the paper and saw the crash. It was such a bummer. It was only like 10 miles from my house.

Yeah, no airshow. A real tragedy to lose two fine airmen in the prime of their lives and flying careers,. The family of one of them witnessed the crash. I was depressed for the rest of the weekend.

What caused the crash? Were they performing a stunt? How come no ejection?

The crash was an F4 Phantom, the same aircraft I flew in the USAF.

That's aweful! This is the first I've heard about it. I've been at work in almost all of free time.

Ouch. That makes it even more awful for you, I'm sure.
