Sunday we had BBQ baby back ribs in our backyard, extremely delicious! Afterward, I'm bussing stuff up from our backyard to the kitchen. From our backyard to the back porch are several steep concrete steps, followed by the back porch, followed by a wooden rail, followed by a six foot drop off into bushes, followed by a wooden fence supported by two steel fence posts. I'm carrying too much stuff up the steps and I couldn't see ahead. I missed the top step, stumbled, took out the wooden rail, plunged into the bushes at the bottom of the drop off, and into the fence head first.: I have a big black eye, cuts and swelling on my cheek, nose, scabs under my nose and inside my left nostril, on my forehead, on my right knee, and about a six inch cut on my right calf. I hurt my back, ribs, and bled from a wound to the back of my head all that night. Blood all over my shirt, pillow, underwear, and the sheets. I'm lucky my head missed a metal fence post (just barely), or I might not be telling you this story. No pics, sorry. As my orthopedic surgeon keeps telling me, "George, you're accident prone!"

 

George, I need you upright at least through the BBQ. If I don’t get at least 3 good George stories through that Saturday, the BBQ doesn’t taste quite right.
