Ahhh, I'm with you ..... well the answer is no.

A friend used to own a python ... snakes won't eat food that is already dead. He fed his on guinea pigs and hamsters, but if you put a dead one in the cage, the snack wouldn't eat it, it had to kill it itself and then eat it ....

 

Like my frogs. They eat crickets. They respond to movement.
