I saw a Mistu Spyder with them the other day. Also on a p.o.s. Toyota Tercel with a giant coffee can exhaust. Why?

Right now I have a bad image in my head of spinner hubcaps... I hate them with a passion. Why would someone want to make their POS look worse than it already does?!?
