Right now I'm amazed at how desperate smokers can be. On the way back from the gym today I saw a guy walking on the sidewalk. He passed a half smoked cigarette on the ground, turned around and went back to it, picked it up, looked at it for a second, brushed off the butt, and then put it in his pocket!
