Right now I could not afford to buy in the Puget Sound area. But when I left the Sacramento area homes there were half the price of here. Now they are higher than here. But their market is crashing hard.

Right now I agree. My parents said they have seen prices sliding in their town (Vacaville) for months now. Like the article said, who ever partied the hardest will have the worst hangover.

Right now I couldn't put 20% down when I did buy, but I purchased the house at 25% below market price.

Right now how did you pull that off? Nicole did the same thing with her house. She bought it from her grandfather for $110,000 in early 2005; far below market value. It's now worth somewhere around $260,000.
