$10 million is fairly low, actually. And, likely, he will get every penny of that from a sympathetic jury. It's very hard to convince a jury that life is inherently dangerous and shit happens. It's very easy to convince a jury that poor old dad lost his pride and joy and the only thing he cared about in the world. Of course, how $10 million solves that I'll never know. Sob stories > logic every time.
