I was a regular blood donar had donated over 3 gallons and then one day, they asked if I had ever been to Britan. I'm like, you never asked me before, whats up? Possible Mad Cow was the answer. I can't donate anymore...

Right now they have that question on the donor screening form here as well but according to their rules I did not spend enough time there for it to matter. I donate 2 units of platelets and 1 unit of plasma every month unless they need more platelets and then I donate 3 units of platelets. They would rather have the components of my blood rather than the whole blood.
