Wow you were lucky and I will say you are determined

Thanks Rob. I was determined as my bathroom taps did not have shut-offs on them. I had to shut down the water supply for the whole home, so once I tore everything apart there was no turning back and it needed to get done tonight. I need to add some shutoffs on those taps in the near future. Whoever built this home did not put shutoffs on the main bathroom tap, kitchen tap, lower bathroom tap, or the basement laundry tub. I've added them everywhere except this last bathroom tap, so it needs to get done next.

Yes definitely that could become a very big P.I.T.A. if you end up with a leak you can't fix right away.

Right now I tore apart the gas fireplace, it needed a good cleaning internally and I haven't done it for a number of years. It's amazing how spiders get into the tightest of cavities even when sealed up. Getting ready for the winter season.

Right now I'm posting yup winter will be here sooner rather than later. I gotta start getting ready, getting the WRX undercoated Fri. snow tires put on two weeks from Friday then want to get a coat of wax on it somewhere in between. Filled up the S with non-ethanol gas today and will only put that in until it goes into winter storage.
