Rather than braking when he was tailgating you, you should have turned your lights on!

Idiot probably wouldn't have know the difference of brake lights to tail lights. Then again, if he was close enough, he might not be able to see that low.

 

I seriously get tailgated or merged into on the road almost every day in my little rollerskate of a car. You honestly get used to it after a while...though the last time I almost got run into the median wall I was a bit miffed!

 

I used to do the turn the lights on thing to people tailgating, now I always run with headlights on.

Running with lights on makes your car more visible any time of the day, I think it's safer to be more visible

It's a Seattle thing people here all USED to be nice.

 

The traffic in Seattle is much nicer (more courteous) than Chicago or Detroit. There are always bad apples though. I think many of them are probably recent movers from the east coast or SoCal.
