If they were on top of everything, I'd be able to get work done, and probably wouldn't have time to (or be able to)

But because they are not, I've got free time sitting around doing nothing, and as a result I have time to .
I guess it works out for me either way.
But our IT group is huge and bureaucratic as hell. The group I'm complaining about isn't the group that could potentially prevent me from ing...
