Actually, styling disagreements notwithstanding, I think you guys hit upon a big problem with the Boxster, from an owner's point of view; it's the low-end Porsche. To many Porschephiles, the Boxster is not a real sports car. I mean, that's ridiculous, but there it is. Unless you're driving something over $100K, you're nothing.

I didn't read any of this thread. I voted SPAM because it IS obligatory. We are lucky enough to have both an S2000 and a Boxster S in our garage.
After driving hubby's Boxster, it would be nice in terms of the additional bells & whistles, and no doubt the low-end torque is nice. BUT ... you still don't get the visceral enjoyment that you get from the S. It's also weird after driving the S because the Boxster is so quiet. I'm used to that screaming REV of our car!
