why....

most drivers would be just as fast on the 3.

the added power of the 2 makes it quite a handful

I was never really particular to 911's until I drove one. I took a 96 C2 for a spin and I was very impressed with the car, not just for the speed and the handling but also I could feel how well built and stable the car was as I was driving it. A true driver's car.

I test drove the Boxster S and it was an awfully nice car.....20 K more than the Honda....Is it 20 K more car than the Honda? I don't think so, but a moot point since I couldn't afford the Porsche anyway...Oh yeah, I could've got one coming off a lease, but thats not what I wanted....

And what Porsche doesn't tell you....You have to drop the motor...To change the Plugs!!!!!

you have to drop the motor to do almost anything

and you know those porsche dealers charge similar labor rates to honda dealers

but you gotta pay to play

The S version is even more than the standard boxer and Porsche is well known for running up the tab very quickly with option packages.

I dunno.. if I wanted a car in that range I would get an M3. *if i had the choice* But then I ask myself, dude, for 20-30k less I can get an S2000 which would be at least 95% if not more of the thrill that the Porsche or the BMW gives you for 100% less than either of the cars.

I went with a friend to have her MB serviced and the dealer also sells Porsche and they had a Boxster on the lot which I took a look at. I asked to see the motor and the salesman showed me how you really can't see it or work on it, reminded me of the TT motors. Incidentally they also sell Honda and the labor rates for Honda and Porsche were in a couple of dollars between.
