yes. it allows me to buy far more toys for the machine. its a great forking chassis.

and... i hate to admit it... but it's actually a bit more fun to drive than my S, mostly because it's not as heavy. one step closer to a kart...

Interestingly, one of the things that got me into a Miata before the S2000 was the very same realizations you just mentioned. Given that I only spent $6k originally for the car w/ hardtop for the track and Koni struts AND racing wheels tires (in retrospect, should have kept them around a little longer), it doesn't really bother me TOO much when I have to dump money into repairs or upgrades...

My car's been wrecked (or significantly damaged) three times during my ownership and it's STILL cheaper to fix it and keep driving than get rid of it...
