S2K Reloaded!
It's not a good thing, wicky. Just my opinion.
Respect is one thing, and maybe it's good socially and familialy, but their top-down management (business) sucks. I hate the way the Japanese organize their working hordes.

I agree with Charlie .... I was actually asked to give a lecture here which touched on the differences between Western and Japanese working .......
The Japanese show such respect for their superiors that nothing ever changes .... the superiors teach the underlings the way to do things, no one ever questions this, and when they eventually make their way up the ladder, the things have been so ingrained into them that they then teach the underlings to do exactly the same !!!
The other thing is the work ethic .... if you are not seen at your desk until 7-8-9 o'clock in the evening you are not working hard enough
doesn't matter if you are just whoring on S2ki for that time, as long as you are in the office at your desk !!!
Madness, and they are never going to turn their economy round with the attitude that they have ......
IMHO of course

ACtually, since my great grandparents were getting the shit kicked out of them by Russian Czars when the US "south" was getting its wonderful reputation, I guess I can't really call myself an inbred, redneck yo-yo.
