These A-holes are killing the sport. I am starting to believe we will never see Steve Yzerman play again. He has said the longer this thing drags out the more likely he is to consider retirement. As banged up as he is and for all the wonderful years he has given the sport, he certainly deserves it; however, he does not deserve to end his career sitting in the bleachers of an empty arena.

No doubt. Lemieux, Forsberg, Chelios, a lot of guys with 1 or 2 years left in the tank may never play again... and the only people to lose are the fans who've followed and rooted for those guys all these years.

I don't think it's cash that's causing the current issues; the two sides are pennies on the dollar apart in terms of payroll cost. It's pure ego at this point, IMO - neither side wants to "cave" or "lose".
