I don't think it's cash that's causing the current issues; the two sides are pennies on the dollar apart in terms of payroll cost. It's pure ego at this point, IMO - neither side wants to "cave" or "lose".

went to see the cleveland barons (sanjose sharks farm team) play the st. johns maple leafs. barons lost 3-2 in a shootout.
