The Semi Official HOT DUDES Thread!!!!!
I broke the PW rules (I always do that
) and read through all these posts.
Good thoughts, folks. Common interests, respect for "cave time" (I like that one, Littleton), and physical attraction are all important.
I'd like to add two things, if we're talking about finding "the one" here.
1. It's gotta' be someone who you can easily make decisive moves with. If you bicker over everything you try to do, it'll never survive.
2. Most important: you *HAVE* to be on the same page with respect to your goals and your dreams.
Oh, let me add #3 (which is really just a specific case)... You *HAVE* to be on the same page with respect to raising a family.
Just some thoughts from a (now) 40+ geezer!

Whoever she is, she's gotta make me smile...
I've had enough relationships where I spent more time frowning than smiling. I'm all about working for a relationship, but not every day of a relationship should be work.
If it is, run far and run fast...

Agreed, with you both
A relationship requires some obvious work....but it shouldn't be a daily thing. A relationship is supposed to be a positive, fun, exciting and fulfilling part of your life. Personally I hate fighting and rarely do it with anyone...just don't see the point, nothing particularly good is going to come out of it, just more negative feelings. If you find yourself spending more time bickering than enjoying each other's company...or as Brant put it more time frowning than smiling, it's obviously not meant to be. Being open-minded and willing to compromise is also key. Laughter too....I don't know where I'd be today without it
Again just my $0.02 from a youngin'
and don't just run fast and far....drive
