ooops

 

I don't play...yet. I've got a few friends that I've met over the last year that do and it's really starting to give me the desire to learn to play. I've always loved the guitar...and Skip's collection is enough to make ANYONE drool and bow with respect...it's just gorgeous!

 

A couple of years (3) ago I decided to learn to play. I've played blues harp (harmonica) and sung for years...

I decided that singing to guitar would be the most fun so I learned. I'm in no way 'good' but I can do about 40 or 50 songs... with a book in front of me and have a whale of a time.

I've just gotta find someone with the patience to teach me...

I'm considering paying my friend Wayde to teach me. He and I used to work together and he decided not to find another job when we got laid off. I figure I can help fund him not working...

 

Depends what you want out of playing... if you just want to make music... Teach yourself chords.

 

Well, part of it's the excuse to listen to Wayde jam. He's an amazing guitar player. I listened to him play a custom-made 10 string one night and was blown away. He played like it was an extension of his fingers...and it was the very first time he'd ever picked it up!!!

You're right, though, I will probably pick up a second hand acoustic and teach myself chords to start...
