The semi-official I landed a job thread
As many of you
s know, for the last couple months I have been searching for post-Navy employment. I have so far tested with 3 different agencies with varying degrees of success. I'm about one step away from becoming a custody officer with Snohomish County (which is just north of King County, the county Seattle is in.) I had my final interview today with one of the station's Captains. At the end of the interview he literally said, "I have interviewed a lot of people, and you are by far the best. If this is something you want to do, I can't think of any reason why you can't." It feels pretty good knowing that about 500 people tested, and I could very well be the top candidate, or one of the top candidates. They still need to finish my background investigation before giving me a formal offer of employment. I should get a definite yes or no in a week or two.
