I'm wondering if you are on the oem wheels.. if so, I'd check to see if you can find some Dunlop Direnzas... I think they have OEM size. They have pretty good reviews
Yes, I'm still on the OEM wheels. Maybe I should change that up as well?

Nah..if you don't want to change, no need to... although there are lots of options out there... I won't be doing any wheel/suspension mods in 2011... I've already blown the bank on other stuff..

I'm contemplating two different Ducati 750SS'. One is a wrecked '93 street bike that was converted to a track bike years ago, but I THINK could be converted back fairly easily and the other is an '01 with some rash on the fairings (which I'd toss anyway) that is otherwise ready to roll.

The upside to the track bike is the engine and suspension work...and that it's $500 cheaper than the street-legal one. The upside to the newer one is...well...that it's newer AND that all the electrical stuff is sorted.

I might pass on both, but it's interesting to contemplate. My goal is to build a cafe racer style bike rather than a fully faired bike...

I'd love to get a bike like that someday.... unfortunately someday isn't anytime soon

I'm noting that it is hard to find a used one!
