I'm on day 5 of ridiculous neck pain and am contemplating acupuncture or trying to get in to the chiro.

I'm vehemently disagreeing with that last statement.

My motor was like every other 2001... it burned oil fast enough that I never really would have needed to change it, and had oil pressure issues for much of its life. The final straw was somewhat self-inflicted (debris into the oil pump). I could have rebuilt it, but it seemed easier to start with a later motor (2005 in my case) that had fixed most of the glaring design flaws.

Of course my 2005 is plenty of issues in its own right, and has already been rebuilt once to fix most of them (idle/misfire stuff).

I'm agreeing to disagree. Granted, the earlier years needed the better oil jet bolts, but MY04 ran perfectly even when I threw 400+ hp at it. All I did for it was change my oil and one valve adjustment which I did on my own too.

The current 07, I wholly blame on the previous owners and my negligence. His choice to put in a clutch that was way too strongly built for the car, and my incompetency in not being more regular in checking my oil levels.

Either way, I wholeheartedly believe this car is built to last.

I'm happy to report (and may have just jinxed myself) that Suzy doesn't really burn much oil. Minor top up every 5-6 tanks.

I'm again annoyed with a know-it-all.
