I'm hoping you did not go down the path of internet martyrdom and forced your way onto a plane.

 

I'm adding that Delta has a surprisingly good track record, although I've gotten caught up in wide scale outages before.

 

I'm noting I did not fly Delta today

 

I'm saying from what the video evidence says right now, that's some BAD BAD BAD press, United must be grabbing onto their balls hoping this guy doesn't sue the living hell out of them

 

I'm noting that for all the crap that did happen, they handled it as well as they could. They were another level of short staffed, but you had some folks running around with snacks and drinks, handing people in the queues "bathroom passes" so they didn't lose their spot in line.
Wednesday was a write off because of the Tornado, and Thursday, the second my flight got cancelled, I just left and rebooked the following day on the app. I didn't have time to wait around and be rebooked.
Friday, I kind of just needed to get home so I ended up swapping out three different flights (thank god for the damn Delta app), and flying out at midnight, got to Boston at 3am.

I'm noting that while United will get a lot of bad press from this, the passenger was 100% in the wrong and broke multiple laws, as well as inconveniencing hundreds of other people because he was too important to get off the plane. I have zero sympathy for him and hope he sits in jail.

 

I'm probably not flying gain until the end of July. Possibly mid-June if I can swing it.
