I'm more than halfway to my steps goal for the day after the first 2.5 hours of my day.

 

I'm recalling that we listened to the Joshua Tree album en route to the park.


I don't really understand the fuss over that album. A few good songs, sure... just don't understand why it's so highly praised.

 

Because it was a lot of good songs jammed together. . . for 1987

 

I'm agreeing that context is key. The album has a lot of personal meaning for me, so that adds to it.

we drove up as close as possible minus trespassing once you'd NEVER know it was there its just a lil teenie DUMPIsh house out there

 

I'm adding that Pappy & Harriets is WORTH A VISIT Pappy + Harriet's

Mc Cartney hit it when out there for OLD CHELLA and caused a ruckus since they were stupid enough to put it on their website

 

I'm noting we did not drive past Rancho De La Luna, nor did we trek to Pappy & Harriets. We beelined for the park and tried to cross off as many sights as we could in the limited time.

I'm pretty sure you DID if you were on the main HWY thru JT and heading for the park... you DON'T SEE R De L from the road unless you KNOW its there

Some day we should plan a lunch at P & H 's its a lil venue / Bar / Food Joint

 

I'm pointing out we took a side road since it's a bit shorter and avoids all the traffic congestion in downtown JT.
