I'm also reporting back to Mocky w/ restaurant/bar suggestions:
1) Ditkas - Super good steak place, great bar. Usually is pretty crowded, so call-in for reservations, or be prepared to wait. This is near Michigan Ave, and the famous Watertower.
2) Greek town - Pretty good Greek food. Near downtown. Just valet park in front of any restraunt. The best restaurant is something like the Parthenon.
3) Geno's for pizza - Every imaginable kind of pizza. Good crowd, small extremely crowded bar. Once again, get location from concierge, but close to Rush St.
4) Drinking and bar scene - Rush Street. On a summer weekend, should be crowded and bustling.
5) Walk-off the food - Navy Pier. Late night stroll and stop for a beer at one of the many bars along the way. Not a really great bar scene or restraunt scene -- more-of a family thing, but is a good thing to see while in Chicago.
Hope this helps...

I'm wonderin' if you have heard either of the following songs:
Tim McGraw -- Live Like You Were Dying
or
Garth Brooks -- If Tomorrow Never Comes
I'm not a country music fan . . .. I'm a MUSIC FAN!! But so many of these country songs seem to really speak to your heart during the tough times. I think about these two songs probably twice a day!!
