Jack...maybe if you're around, you can meet us for dimsum
I'm definitely going to try and do that. I've got one "thing" (lunch, dinner, don't know what yet) going on that weekend, but I'm otherwise available.

I haven't actually heard of Ditkas, I'll check them out some day. As far as steak houses go, the big ones I've heard of are Morton's, Gibson's and the Chop House.

For Chicago style pizza, Uno's and Gino's are the two famous ones. They both claim to have invented that style of pizza. I've tried both, and they are both excellent. The main difference I can find between the two is that Gino's uses a corn bread like crust while Uno's uses the regular crust (they are both home made though, and very, very good). Lou Malnati's is another place that's supposedly good, though I haven't been there (Lou Malnati is the founder of Pizzeria Uno).

Greektown has excellent Greek restaurants, so if you like Greek food, that's the place to go. I don't know of too many restaurants there, though. I've been to one called "Pegasus," which was pretty good. I'll probably give Brant's recommendation a shot some day.

I also know a very authentic Japanese restaurant out in the suburbs, if you're interested. When you're in there, you literally get the feeling you're in Japan (the first time I was there, we were the only non-Japanese customers ).

Well, I know of other places - Italian, Chinese, Ethiopian, a pretty good Argentine steak joint, and a mean Brazilian BBQ/buffet place. Let me know what you guys feel like.

I'm saying when it comes to quality food and drink I have learned over the years not to question my contact. Some of the places are dives...but he's NEVER sent me someplace that he claimed was good that wasn't.

Anyone ever needs to travel to a major city in the US and want to know where to eat or drink, let me know.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to read through the 3 pages I missed.

I'm saying hi! I'm sorry Brant is sick and Mikey is sad

I'm eating popcorn and am very tired on account of a GIGANTIC fire last nite in a condo under construction a few blocks from here. We had to walk up and see what was burning at 2am. The flames were visable for miles - it was horrible

I'm saying I didn't realize how close that was to your place, Nancy...
