I'm also saying that MTU is Michigan Tech University; and that I went there from '97 through '01.

 

I'm amazed. Holy Shit .. .. .I spent many a winter there at hockey camp. I love the winterfest and ice sculpture exhibit they always have.

 

I'm saying winter carnival was one of the few highlights of being at MTU. Truly amazing. I helped the SigEps work on their statue a couple of the years.

I'm reminding Jeff that I am much older than he is. I played bantam minor and bantam major for 1 year. I went to hockey camp there as a young bright-eyed teenager in '86-'88.

 

I'm curious what you thought of Hoton? Id heard stories of what it was like in the late 80s and early 90s from some of the older grad students but wondered what an "outsider" thought.

Did you play at Dee, or was Maciness already done? Or did you go up to Hoton County?

 

I'm telling Jeff, I'm old . ... but not that old, Macinnes was done. I have played in Houghton and Macinnes in tournaments. Camps, back then were macinnes for ease on the youngsters. Things were wild and hockey players were reverred. Also, for the guys in their fr/so years, it seemed like they were no longer having fun playing. I remember the local girls really took a liking to the city boys.
