I'm bummed. Just got a call for an interview tomorrow - 45 minutes after I have to be at the hospital for surgery...And the position starts next Monday. Just. Not. Possible.

I'm suggesting you have the surgeon meet you at the interview. Had the double benefit of getting the procedure done AND showing the potential employer how dedicated you are to being at work no matter what!

I'm thinking that could work. Plus, it can't be that hard to get in 28 hrs/wk at placement, plus do a full time job 45 minutes away...when I can't walk or drive.
